Overveiw of Azad Jamu Kashimir Board
The Government of Azad Kashmir issued an ordinance in 1973 that established the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (AJKBISE). It is found in the Azad Kashmir city of Mirpur. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore (BISE Lahore) had authority over educational institutions in Azad Kashmir prior to the creation of the AJK BISE.
This Board held its inaugural test in 1974, which had 6,161 applicants for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). Its operations subsequently widened in scope. On the basis of parity with Punjab, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Lahore created its rules and regulations.
